Painted Limner's Work Chest, New England, late 18th century, the cove-molded top flares above a case of sixteen thumb-molded small drawers flanked top and bottom by similar long drawers; the top drawer is incised with "W" and "T" and the lower with "1781", the painted top overhangs the polychrome drawers which are flanked by green sides, original round brass pulls attached with snipe brads, original surface, (surface imperfections), ht. 37 3/4, case wd. 30 1/4, case dp. 9 7/8, cornice wd. 32, cornice dp. 11 1/2 in.
