Carved and Painted Pine Box, "Peter Glawson, August 11th, 1863," rectangular pine box with hinged lid, with carved and scribed compass stars and rosettes, incised checkerboard, foliate, and heart motifs, painted in shades of red, black, and mustard, wallpaper-lined interior with till, name and date inscribed on the back, (small corner losses, minor paint wear) ht. 5 3/4, wd. 13, dp. 7 1/8 in.
