Chippendale Walnut Inlaid Desk Bookcase, possibly Maryland, late 18th century, the top with molded and pierced swan's-neck cresting with inlaid terminals centering a plinth with cross banded border and urn finial above a cross banded frieze and two glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves with candle slides below on a base with fall front opening to a central prospect door flanked by string-inlaid document boxes, three drawers and four valanced compartments and case of four cockbeaded graduated drawers all on ogee bracket feet, replaced brasses, refinished, (restoration) ht. 95, wd. 40, dp. 22 in.
