Federal Mahogany Carved and Mahogany Veneer Glazed Bookcase, Boston or Salem, Massachusetts, circa 1815-1820, the top section with a shaped gallery joining square plinths above a flat cornice molding and two hinged doors with beaded Gothic arches opening to four adjustable shelves on projecting base of four cockbeaded short drawers the corners carved with acanthus leaves and fluting with punchwork above the vase and ring-turned reeded tapering legs, old refinish, (imperfections), ht. 87 1/2, wd. 50, dp. 18 1/2 in.
