Three Similar Painted and Carved Queen Anne Side Chairs, together with another dark stained example, coastal New England, 1730-70, the three carved crests with volutes continue to molded reverse-curved stiles above trapezoidal seats on block and vase front legs ending in carved feet joined by boldly turned medial stretchers, old black paint, the fourth chair with dark stained surface, (repairs), ht. 41 3/4, 41, seat ht. 17 1/4, 17 3/8, 18 in.
