Figured Walnut Inlaid Dower Chest, Pennsylvania, 1785, the molded rectangular hinged top opens to an interior with lidded till above the dovetail-constructed case inlaid with "17 MM 85" with a panel bordered by geometric banding with horizontal applied molding below and two thumbmolded half drawers, all on bracket feet, retains two original escutcheons, old surface, (minor imperfections), ht. 28 1/8, wd. 47, dp. 22 in.
