(perhaps Ralph Waldo Emerson), concerning a visit, 8vo, (minor creasing, slightly faded in places). Text in full: We had some hope of seeing you here yesterday and today; but as that did not happen, I write now to warn you not to come next Friday or Saturday, because two persons have written to announce their coming on those days, and we have no more house room.
