Edward Eggleston (1837-1902), approximately twenty-two photographic prints, twelve portraits of Eggleston in youth and age, architecture and Indiana topography with pen inscriptions, including Eggleston's birthplace, Hanging Rock, and a railroad cutting in Madison. Note: Edward Eggleston was a Methodist minister, historian and leading writer of local fiction in Indiana. A native of Vevay, he left the Methodist church in 1874 and moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he founded the Church of Christian Endeavor.
