N.Y. , with fine focusing by a sprung worm gear that engages with the rack-and-pinion coarse focusing assembly, circular black glass stage with substage stops, plano-concave mirror on swing-arm calibrated 0-90-0 degrees, on tapering brass pillar with screw-thread to circular foot with nickel-plated supports, ht. closed 11 in., and three marked E.H. Griffith objectives (1/10, 1/5 and 2-inch) in original cannisters, in fitted leather-covered case. Note: Manufactured by Bausch & Lomb from an unusual design by Ezra H. Griffith, the foot of this microscope converted for use as a slide-preparation table.
