Chippendale Walnut Carved Linen Press, probably Hudson River Valley, Poughkeepsie-Newburgh area, New York, c. 1770-80, the top section with flat molded cornice above two hinged doors with recessed panels opening to three shelves, flanked by lamb's tongue reeded corners, set into lower section of two thumbmolded short drawers and two long drawers, all on gadroon-carved bracket feet, old brasses, refinished, (minor imperfections). Provenance: Descended in the family of Isaac Van Duzer, Newburgh and Goshen, New York.
