Newport, Rhode Island Chippendale mahogany tall post bed, ca. 1780 , the arched headboard flanked by square posts with chamfered corners, the foot posts with reeded tops over acanthus leaves and a rope twist balusters terminating in marlborough feet, 95" h., 54" w., 78" d.
