Loose , the base, Gloucester Massachusetts 70 degrees, 38 minutes and the rotating gnomon, Let Others Tell of Storms and Showers, I'll Only Count the Sunny Hours . A glass bell jar long associated with the dial was purportedly used to protect the instrument during inclement weather, dia. 9 1/4 in.
