Brass Zentmayer's Intermediate Stand Microscope, Philadelphia, No. 745, with rack-and-pinion coarse focusing, fine focusing on nosepiece, rotating 4 1/4-inch dia. stage, sprung slide-holder, mechanical substage with condenser and two rotating diaphragm stops, plano / concave mirror on swing-arm, tapering twin pillars and claw-foot engraved in script J. Zentmayer, Philadelphia , unextended ht. 17 1/2 in., (lacquer removed, possibly converted from binocular use), in walnut case with dovetailed accessory box containing two low power, two medium and two high power eyepieces, camera lucida, live box and mount, three later objectives and five cases, three engraved J.W. Queen & Co., Philadelphia . Note: Described as the "second largest stand" in Zentmayer literature.
