Dedham Pottery Trial vase Made by Hugh Robertson, 1899-1908, Dedham, Massachusetts Narrow mouth on swollen cylindrical form with slightly iridescent gray, green, black, and blue glazes on white clay body, hand-marked in blue Dedham Pottery HR on base, ht. 9 in. This piece is accompanied by a history by Mr. George Judd on Hammer Galleries' stationary of the Dedham Potteries and the techniques indicative of their experimental work and the influences from the Ming period of Asian history.
