Marilyn Garnick Studio Pottery Pod vessel United States, fourth quarter 20th century Large spherical form on stand with hand-built textured surface, sawdust fired in a drum, ht. on stand 16, dia. 18 in. When Marilyn and her husband Phillip lived close to George Nakashima's studio she would visit him and collect the sawdust from his woodworking studio and drum-fire her pod vessels in this sawdust. This is one of those vessels.
