Stonelain Pottery Modernist decorated rectangular bowl Decorated by Diego, Associated American Artists of New York, c. 1940-52 Abstract aquatic scene in pink, blue, yellow, green, and black, marked Diego and Stonelain mark with the ewer, tight crack and some glaze chips, lg. 19, wd. 13 in. Associated American Artists of New York, produced pottery under the Stonelain label from the early 1940s to 1952. They featured works by some of the foremost artists of the time, including Dorothy Greenbaum, Gwen Lux, and Diego.
