Paul Soldner (b. 1921) Two ceramic vessels United States Footed vessel with scraffito decoration in blue, white, and black, incised P.E.S.; and an oval mouth vessel with scraffito decoration in green and black, stamped and signed in script, respective ht. 5 1/8, 6 3/4 in. Paul Soldner is widely known for his work with Japanese raku firing techniques in the United States. He is an inventor, teacher, and accomplished leader in the field of contemporary ceramics. His work is in numerous museum collections in the United States and abroad.
