Art Deco Longwy Charger Pottery France Circular form with wide floral border centering a medallion depicting waterbirds in a wetland, in rose, rust, mauve, brilliant blues, turquoise, and green, stamped on reverse DECOR A LA MAIN around a stamp EMAUX DE LONGWY, dia. 14 3/8 in. During the Art Deco period Longwy was inspired by Persian cloisonne. This style is called Emaux de Longwy. The rich colors highlighted by the brilliant turquoise blue, and the floral and bird designs are the most highly sought after.
