Woven Wool and Cotton Biederwand Coverlet, New Paris, Elkhart County, Indiana, 1853, two piece coverlet with twenty oval medallions in red, navy, light blue, and white, separated by rows of leaf motifs, bordered with two rows of public buildings, and fruiting trees and flower motifs, two corner blocks with inscription:"IA (or JA) NEW PARIS ELKHART 1853," below a spreadwing eagle with "USA," fringed on three sides, 94 x 72 in.
