Neoclassical Fancy Painted Armchair, possibly middle Atlantic states, c. 1810-15 the pierced cresting above diagonally crossing spindles and conformingly shaped splat on raking turned stiles and flanking arms on vasiform and vase and ring-turned supports on rush seat and ring-turned tapering legs joined by stretchers, old red-painted surface with gilt oak leaf and feather designs, (minor imperfections), ht. 32, seat ht. 18 in. Some paint wear;
