Cotton and Silk Hand Doll, America, c. 1820, the hand-stitched doll with stuffed cotton head and bodice, painted facial features with attached lock of hair, silk trim on her net bonnet and fichu, brown printed woven cotton dress and petticoat, white cotton apron, ht. 9 1/2 in. Provenance: Ex Roger Bacon collection, retaining an old Skinner collection label lot sticker, which took place in September of 1982.
