Federal Birch Inlaid Swell-front Bureau, Massachusetts or New Hampshire, c. 1810-15, the overhanging top with molded edge above a cockbeaded case of four graduated drawers, with matched satinwood or birch panels bordered by stringing and mahogany crossbanding, flanked by quarter-engaged reeded posts continuing to vase and ring-turned legs joined by cutout skirt, replaced brasses, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 38 3/4, wd. 38, dp. 23 1/2 in. top with stains, part of skirt at center missing, inside pc. right rear leg missing (doesn't affect strength), patch to support.
