English, mid 19th century. "Battle of Trafalgar and Death of Lord Viscount Nelson" - 1837, hand colored engraving. Engraved by R. Cooper after a drawing by W.M. Craig, inscribed by Edward Orme. Print depicts the death of Lord Viscount Nelson aboard a ship at the Battle of Trafalgar on October 21, 1805. Inscribed center below the image "To the memory of the Immortal Nelson, and to the Honour of our Brave Countrymen who so nobly fought and conquered the combined Fleets of France & Spain at the Battle of Trafalgar on the 21st of October 1805. This engraving is inscribed by Edward Orme.", at left "W.M. Craig", and at right "R. Cooper". Framed 31" x 35", unframed sight size 18.75" x 22.75".
