Four Mettlach One-half Litre PUG Steins, Germany, late 19th/early 20th century, each with a variety of hinged pewter covers and thumbrests, a 1074 (1909) with peasant smoking a pipe, signed Schlitt, overall ht. 9 in.; a 1143 (1909) with tavern scene, signed Schlitt, overall ht. 8 in.; a 942 (2140) with Nightwatchman and rooster, overall ht. 9 1/8 in.; and a 1029 (2271) with barmaid and patrons, signed CK, overall ht. 8 3/4 in.; printed and impressed factory marks. Each is in very good condition with no cracks, chips or restorations.
