Brass Lantern Clock by Thos. Dodswell, Burwash, Sussex, mid -18th century with brass case, cast brass frets, side doors, engraved dial with Roman numerals and marked Thos. Dodswell, Burwash , thirty-hour time and strike movement with count-wheel strike, anchor escapement, endless rope, iron weight and oak wall bracket, clock ht., 14 in. converted to anchor escapement, object right front finial is loose but with the clock, iron weight is period, counter weight is a modern replacement, oak bracket later than the clock
