Klara Filippovna Vlasova (Russian, b. 1926) Friends , 1958 Signed in Cyrillic l.r., also inscribed, titled and dated in Cyrillic on the reverse, identified on labels, including one from Overland Gallery, Scottsdale, Arizona, affixed to the backing. Oil on canvas, 29 1/4 x 39 1/4 in. (74.3 x 99.7 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, craquelure, wax reinforced, pigment fluorescence. Retouch (in addition to varnish inconsistencies and pigment flourescence) is predominantly in areas of sky in the u.r. and u.l. quadrants. The work is not lined, however there is a layer of wax applied to the reverse. The work has probably been restretched. Extremely mild scattered craquelure is stable.
