Chinese, Qing Dynasty, Jiaqing Period mark (1796-1820), likely of the period. A finely enameled famille rose teapot of globular form with pink glazed ground decorated on tondo with chrysanthemum blossoms surrounded by flowering vines and cloud scrolls in blues, greens, reds, and yellows, with lappet band above pink round foot, cloud scroll band at shoulder, and floral band at mouth, with solid light blue glaze to interior and underside, the round lid of similar decoration with red ball form finial, the body with c form handle and upturned spout. The teapot to a graduated silk covered pedestal and accompanied by a period custom fitted box lined with pink and blue silk and having hinged lid below sliding cover. Marked to underside with six character Jiaquing imperial reign mark. Teapot approximately 4.75" tall, 7" spout to handle.
