Mahogany Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, Massachusetts, circa 1815, with reverse painted glasses enclosed within flat frames, the lower glass depicting a country scene, the waist frame held by four brass machine screws and is flanked by brass side ornaments, 7 3/4 in. painted iron dial with Arabic numerals, eight-day time only movement with "T-Bridge" suspension, through bolts holding the movement in the case, recoil escapement, pendulum and lead weight, ht. 30 in. Dial is an old repaint, lower scene is original but restored, lower border and throat glass is repainted, lacking a finial.
