Collection of Victorian "Grand Tour" Plaster Intaglios in an Ebonized Case, 19th century, rectangular case enclosing ten trays; two trays of illustrious figures, two trays showing the works of Thorwald and Canova, and six trays illustrating pieces from various museums including the Vatican, Capitoline, and Albani, case ht. 11 3/4, wd. 16 3/4, dp. 12 1/2 in. Fair condition overall; circa eleven missing plaster intaglios; all trays present; numerous pieces loose from the original mounting; case with slightly cracked and buckled right side, causing tray # 1 to be difficult to remove; minor losses.
