Pair Pewter Deep Dishes by Thomas Danforth Boardman, Hartford, Connecticut, 1805-20, round with singel reeded brim, two eagle touch marks on each base, (minor wear), dia. 11 1/8 in. For similar maker's marks see Laughlin, Ledlie, Irwin, Pewter in America: Its Makers and Their Marks, Barre Publishers, Barre, Massachusetts, 1969, plate LVIII no. 424. Allover pitting, scratches, subtle dents, and wear associated with normal use, one plate with 1 1/2 and 1/2 in. crack on brim.
