Tuttle Company, Inc., Rutland, Vermont, and Tokyo, Japan, 1971, on p. 137; and in The Magazine Antiques, in an article entitled "New light on Boston stoneware and Frederick Carpenter," by Lura Woodside Watkins, June 1972, pp. 1054-55. Hairline across handle about midway downMinor chips- 1/2 in shallow lip chip by handle terminal, vestiges of previous contents dried around lip and handle, small potstone and fine crazing on fish motif, abbout 5 other potstones, one large about 2 in. dia. at middle to lower right of design, several base edge chips small to 3/4 in lg., fine hairlines about 1/2 in. above base edge about 8 in. lg.
