Transfer Decorated New Bedford, Massachusetts, Souvenir Pottery Pitcher, Buffalo Pottery, New York, c. 1907, blue-green transfer decoration with inscription "THE WHALING CITY SOUVENIR OF NEW BEDFORD MASS," and depicting the ship NIGER, a sperm whaling scene, an anchor, and the seal of the city of New Bedford, maker's mark on base, (craquelure), ht. 6 1/4 in. Overall fine crazing but stable, with areas of light brownish discoloration, no chips, cracks, or repairs, handle in good condition.
