Mahogany "Whale's Tail" Pillar and Scroll Clock by Samuel Terry, Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1825, with full-length door, painted wooden dial with Roman numerals and floral spandrels, painted tablet of a large home on a lake, scroll skirting, French feet, printed maker's label inside backboard, thirty-hour time and strike movement with count wheel, two iron weights, and pendulum, ht. 31 1/2 in. Dial undisturbed, repainted tablet, whale''s tail top, scrolled bottom, and feet are replacements.
