Birch and Mahogany Dwarf Clock by John Taber, Alfred or Saco, Maine, c. 1825, with reeded columns flanking the full-length door, top glazed section revealing the 9 1/4 in. painted wooden dial with Roman numerals and green leafage in the spandrels, veneered mid section and lower looking glass, turned feet, case interior and back of dial painted period blue-green, eight-day time only iron plate movement with pendulum and iron weight, ht. 39 1/2 in. Scroll top and feet are replacements, lower looking glass, although period, now backed by a replacement pine board, door hinges relocated, minor touch-up and relining on wooden dial, original hands, weight and pendulum.
