(Civil War, Union), New Hampshire, Two Civil War era diaries written by Martin F. Moore, Company K, 13th New Hampshire Volunteers and Company B, 13th Regiment, New Hampshire Volunteers, January of 1864 to circa June 21st, 1865, each with leather covers, chronicling his postings from Pennsylvania through Washington mostly describing camp life, to Fortress Monroe and on to Petersburg in June, then describing siege and trench warfare for many days, including sniper attacks, shelling, and the Battle of the Crater, also recalling several reviews with various Generals and cabinet members and President Lincoln on March 26th, 1865; together with a tintype portrait of Moore, (wear and fading, overall very good). Description should read 13th NH Regiment, NOT 22nd.
