Antique Gold and Ivory Brooch, the elaborately carved ivory scene depicting figures and flowering trees in a courtyard, in an elaborate filigree floral and foliate frame, surmounted by two birds, lg. 2 1/8 in., signed CW, together with a carved ivory and velvet-lined box, the lid carved as figures in a landscape, floral corners, 4 5/8 x 3 1/8 x 1 1/4 in. Brooch with losses to filigree and ivory. Box with fitted interior for three-piece suite, brooch and earpendants, but not for this particular brooch. Underside with split, stable. Some chips. Does not close tight from shrinkage of material due to age.
