Artist-Designed 18kt Gold and Diamond Earrings, Barbara Heinrich, "Milky-Way," retailed by Quadrum Gallery, each disk with abstract celestial motifs, set with full-cut diamond melee, dia. 1 in., maker's mark. Note: Born in Heilbronn, Germany, Barbara Heinrich began creating jewelry out of noodles, and then silver wire and glass beads, that she sold in her home town. Later, after taking formal jewelry instruction, she won a scholarship in Germany to further her education in the United States. With a master's degree from RIT, everything from memories of childhood fairy tales to simple, natural, forms inspire Heinrich's pieces, which are "as much a gifts to [her] as they are to you."
