Mahogany Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock by Chelsea, painted iron dial with Arabic numerals, brass eagle finial, half round frames enclosing reverse painted tablets, the lower depicting The Boston State House , carved lower pedestal and replacement battery operated movement, ht. 40 in. This clock was once a "slave" clock which received an impulse from a "master" clock. Original mechanism now replaced with a battery operated timepiece.
