English Needlework Picture, rendered in brown and black silk threads on silk ground, after an etching depicting Burleigh House, with name "M. Maydwell" to l.l. edge, and central date "1790," double matted and framed, sight size 13 1/2 x 8 1/2, frame 21 5/8 x 17 5/8 in. Some browning. Needlework has slipped down in the frame. Some tearing visible at silk through scrolls before the H in "House", below the word "House", and at l.r. corner. Silk very brittle, as on brittle paper (silk glued to paper at edges). Modern frame.
