Attributed to Dean Wolstenholme, Sr. (British, 1757-1837), "After The Hunt", oil on canvas, apparently unsigned. Genre scene depicting a huntsman standing behind his horse at left with right arm extended to side holding top hat, left arm extending over horse's back clutching dead rabbit by the feet, the man's two hunting greyhound dogs resting in foreground, the figures set within an Autumnal landscape amid tall brush and trees. Period paper label to verso of frame for Muller & Co. of London, England (1878-1915). Framed approximately 16.5" x 19.75". Unframed approximately 13.25" x 16.5".
