Portrait Miniature of Miss Sophia G. Wilson, subject, date, and artist identified in ink inscriptions on the reverse: "Miss Sophie G. Wilson Age 15 Nov. 6, 1791/Boston/Painter N. Rogers," but probably done at a later date; watercolor and gouache on card, round bust-length portrait, depicting the young lady wearing a yellow bonnet and dress with white ruffled fichu, dia. 3 3/4 in., housed in a later square lacquered wood frame with gilt-brass liner. Condition: Minor toning, a few stray spots of shiny substance on background. The shiny spots may be flecks of glue, on spot is on her bonnet.
