Cherry Shelf Clock by Silas Parsons, Swansea, New Hampshire, circa 1820, the hood with simple molded top, reverse-painted glass on dial door signed Silas Parsons , French feet, 6 1/4 in. dia. painted iron dial with Roman numerals, eight-day brass, step-train, weight-powered movement with rear hung wooden pendulum rod and brass faced bob all powered by a tin-cased weight, ht. 30 1/2 in. Reverse painted glass is repainted, case refinished, repairs to original base, central skirting is restored, tip of minute hand broken off does not appear to have had finials or plinths, dial probably relined.
