Northampton, Pennsylvania walnut tall case clock, ca. 1770 , the broken arch bonnet enclosing a brass face works, inscribed Henry Godshalk , over a case with a tombstone door with inlaid star and the initials ER , flanked by fluted quarter columns above a raised panel base supported by bracket feet, 91 1/2" h. A nearly identical clock but lacking the inlaid ornament was sold at Sotheby's on October 4, 2007, Lot 150.
