Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987) A Gold Book, 1957, nineteen images plus a title page, edition of approximately 100 (Feldman & Schellmann, p. 274). Identified on title page. Offset lithographs (several with coloring) on paper, 14 1/2 x11 1/4 in. (36.7 x 28.5 cm), bound. Condition: Pages still sewn but detached from cover, minor staining to edges, minor handling marks and creases. The binding is a plain off-whiter cloth, and the cover is no longer affixed to the pages within. There is staining and foxing to the outer pages. The inner pages have wear, handling creases and some edge staining and nicks. The golden ink is stained, probably from finger oils. There are no tissues separating the pages.
