Painted Wood and Metal Courting Mirror, the rectangular metal framed mirror with traces of painted decoration and flower bosses set into a painted wood frame with pair of front doors, the interior of doors painted with flower-filled urns, the exterior with single stylized flowerhead on green ground, Middle Eastern form with Scandinavian-style painting, mirror ht. 22 1/4, frame closed 24 1/4 x 15 in. Plate loose in frame and with significant silvering loss. Inner frame with buckling to lower edges, heavy pitting and corrosion, and the loss of four applied rosettes to corners. Door fronts with rubbing and loss to paint.
