French Empire-style Part-Ebonized and Gilded Mahogany and Inlay Dining Room Set, 20th century, comprising ten side chairs and an extension dining table; spoon-back chairs with overupholstered seats, the seat rail and saber legs with anthemion and flowerhead motifs; dining table with rectangular top crossbanded in walnut and satinwood, with canted corners above two draw leaves and faceted legs carved with leaftips and paw feet joined by stretchers, chairs seat ht. 18; table ht. 29, wd. 47, lg. closed 67 in. Usage wear throughout chairs but not very severe; table exhibiting same usage wear and also with a few corner mounts off but present; center of table with lifting veneer and minor losses likely due to water.
