Russian Silver and Enamel Sugar Basket, with marks for Moscow, 1882, Pavel Akimov Ovchinnikov, maker, round, with swing handle, with lapis and turquoise blue teardrop roundels in ropetwist borders enclosing foliate designs, ht. to top of handle 5 in., approx. 12 troy oz. hallmarks possibly spurious. surface scratches to un-enameled silver surfaces from abrasive cleaning. traces of goldwash to foot and rim. a few minor fleabites to enamel.
