Eight Silver and Silver Plate Matchsafes, late 19th/early 20th century, five sterling: a Gorham with rocaille scroll borders, a Whiting with S-scroll borders, and three English, two with scroll engraving, and one with lobing to ends; and three silver plate: one formed as a ball (possibly football), one a clamshell, and one a shoe, lg. 1 1/2 to 2 5/8 in., approx. 3 troy oz. weighable silver. all with minor age/surface wear. one rectangular with scrolled sides & monogram with some pinpoints. plated show and ball with some wear/lifting to plating. Shoe with cigar/cigarillo cutter to heel end.
