English Silk Needlework Picture Depicting an Allegorical Maiden of Music, late 18th century, rectangular giltwood frame with black and gold verre eglomise octagonal mat, stitched with a central neoclassical female dancer playing a lute, with painted details, in flowering vine border, stitched in silk on silk ground, sight lg. 16 1/2, frame 21 1/8 x 17 3/8 in. tears to silk to center above lady's head. yellowed, faded, frame darkened and with chips. not examined out of frame.
