Group of Designs for Ballet and Various Stage Productions, 1940s-50s, including two mixed-media examples with annotations, attributed to Miles White, one designed for the dancer Gene Carrons; six watercolor, ink, and graphite examples for a ballet production of Sleeping Beauty , all initialed "JC"; a design for the 1944 ballet Prince Goudal's Festival , inscribed to the president of the Eaves Costume Co., Andrew Geoly from Mstislav Dobujinsky, the stage and costume designer for the production; a Paul du Pont graphite and watercolor example for the St. Louis Municipal Opera's 1955 production of The King and I , two pen and ink examples for unknown productions one for the dancer Estelle Aza, the other for dancers Shellie Farrell and Hayden Griffen; a watercolor and ink on paper design for Martha Graham Company ballet dancer, Richard Kuch, a watercolor and ink design for dancer Marie Kolin, possibly for Sweet Charity or New Girl in Town ; and an unsigned, unattributed watercolor and ink example for dance ensemble costume. From the estate of a designer working with Eaves Costume Co., New York, to present owner.
